An icon in Parisian design, luxury furniture brand Roche Bobois introduced a stylish way to gather through its “celebrated signature piece”: the Mah Jong Sofa.
Since 1961, Roche Bobois has been known for its ingeniously customizable pieces and distinctive collaborations with noted architects and designers across the world. Beyond welcoming renowned talents with myriad perspectives, the brand has become a leader in innovation, European craftsmanship, and a certain savoir-faire—the ability to adapt to any situation with class.
And no piece of Roche Bobois furniture has ever been more adaptable than the Mah Jong Sofa. It was created in 1971 by painter, sculptor, and designer Hans Hopfer with the goal to provide total freedom of function and form. Over the years, Roche Bobois has called upon prominent fashion houses to “dress” special editions of the Mah Jong, including Missoni Home, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Kenzo Takada.
