Romblon isn’t exactly as popular as Boracay or El Nido, but that's precisely where it finds its charm.
Tucked away in the enchanting MIMAROPA region of the Philippines, this archipelagic haven is a hidden gem waiting to be experienced. Comprising several main islands, including the expansive Tablas and the verdant Sibuyan, Romblon Island, the provincial capital, serves as a gateway to this idyllic paradise. It’s surrounded by smaller island municipalities, each with its own unique charisma.
Quite literally located at the heart of the Philippine archipelago, Romblon is surrounded by deep waters and bordered by Masbate to the east, Mindoro to the west, Marinduque to the north, and Panay to the south. The islands scattered throughout the region are primarily accessible via sea transportation, with the exception of Tablas Island, which hosts a domestic airport situated in the municipality of Alcantara.

The iconic Bonbon Beach, in particular, stands out with its extra fine white sand, crystal-clear water, and majestic sand bar. Stretching for nearly 2 kilometers, the sandbar connects Bon Bon Beach to Bang-og, a smaller, uninhabited island. This impressive feature ranks among the longest sandbars in the Philippines.
